Hi, my name is Debra. My main web page is Gma'sPhoto. This Blogger site is the result of while visiting other fellow blogging sites, to comment requires a Google sign in. So I created a Google account for my Gma'sPhoto!
As Gma'sPhoto suggests, I am a grandmother of two wonderful girls- 11 and 7, and one grand puppy! It is my daughter that gave me the two grand-girls; my son, the grand puppy.
Currently I enjoy my alone time, spending it how I want and no worries of being in a rush or time constraints. Now I photograph my grands, enjoy family time and wanting to connect with fellow bloggers on the net! Blogging will give me the opportunity to improve my writing skills, get out and about.
You may wonder why I say out and about. My social life in the past was visiting the other kid's parents while my children were in school. Then with photography, I had my sessions and then I went to photography meetings. I work from home at this time and no socialization.
The computer my husband and I have is the traditional PC, huge and on the desk. Well, I decided to get a laptop that I can take to different locations to work on my blog. And so far this has been so much fun!

You have a lovely family! I use blogging as a way to socialize too; now that all my boys are driving I feel like I am slowly dropping friends and social activities because a lot of my friends were really the moms of their friends and they're all slowly off on their own.
ReplyDeleteHi, Joane. I am new to the blogger site. I have been playing on my account and am now just reading your comment. Yes, when the kids graduate and move on, the socializing trickled away. I have suggested to my daughter to be sure to go out with her girlfriends. To also have her own life away from the kids. If I had done that, maybe I wouldn't have had the empty nest syndrome as bad. Who nows.
